Mike Doble, founder of the Public Safety Broadband Resource Center organized the 4.9 GHz Event with the help of Region 5 & 6 4.9 GHz committees. The event was held on May 18th 2005 in Long Beach, CA. The demonstrations consisted of a 4.9 GHz multi-point system, 4.9 GHz point-to-point system and the 4.9 GHz airborne video systems.
